The Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce has informed us of a letter from Nizam Exhibitions Company inviting interested parties to visit the Syria International Exhibition for Food Industries and Packaging (FoodEx), scheduled to take place from 21 to 24 October 2026 at the Sports City in Aleppo, Syria.

As part of efforts to strengthen economic relations between Syria and Türkiye, a delegation from the Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce, headed by Chamber President Dr. Abdul Rahim Ziyada, visited the Turkish Embassy in Damascus and met with H.E. Mr. Nuh Yılmaz, Ambassador of Türkiye to Syria.The meeting was attended by Dr. Imad Adnan Al-Nann, Vice President of the Chamber; Mr. Samir Amouri, Secretary-General of the Chamber; Mr. Mahmoud Al-Haj Hammoud, Treasurer of the Chamber; Mr. Firas Shamas, Member of the Executive Office; Mr. Anwar Sheikh Qudeir, Member of the Board of Directors; and Mr. Nizar Bakour, Director General of the Chamber.The two sides discussed ways to stimulate bilateral trade, facilitate the movement of businesspeople, and strengthen investment partnerships. Discussions also addressed the development of border crossings, coordination of participation in specialized exhibitions, and benefiting from Turkish expertise in agricultural mechanization and modern technologies.Dr. Abdul Rahim Ziyada emphasized the importance of facilitating visa issuance for Syrian traders, improving the flow of goods through border crossings, and benefiting from Türkiye’s experience in developing modern agriculture. The Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce informed us of the letter received from Skaf Tourism and Travel Agency, inviting interested parties to visit the Lingerie Exhibition in Paris, specialized in lingerie, raw materials, production supplies, yarns, fabrics, ready-made women’s and men’s clothing, and accessories.The exhibition is scheduled to take place from 15 to 19 January 2027 in Paris, France.
